Spiders Pest Control Kent
Quick guide to our spiders treatment service
Rarely dangerous or a health hazard, for many people spiders are considered a pest and when DIY methods of keeping spiders away don’t work, it’s time to call in the professionals.
Identifying a problem
Spiders are more likely to enter the home in autumn in search of a warm place to spend the winter. They can be troublesome in the home but spiders rarely bite people and none of our indigenous spiders are considered dangerous. Many people have an inherent fear of spiders, normally brought on from other siblings or guardians.
Spiders are attracted to warm, dark small spaces, like wall cracks or air vents, and in the eaves of the home. Apart from people having a fear of them, spiders pose a problem mostly because of their webbing.
Some common species you might find entering your home are the Common House Spider, which is most often encountered in a warm home. The Cellar Spider, Wolf Spider and Sac Spider are also predictable in this type of environment.
Our Assessment, Treatment and Guarantee
To help avoid infestation we recommend vacuuming regularly, removing noticeable webs, and proofing up areas where spiders may be getting in. Removal of sheltering sites such as firewood and compost files near the home would be advisable. Lighting that is less attractive to insects that spiders feed on is also recommended.
You may wish to try a DIY product from a garden centre or hardware store but whilst DIY products may be effective against smaller spider problems, an established pest problem will often require professional help. Arrowguard provide a treatment using powerful insecticide that deal with spiders and other intruders in the home.
On every treatment to remove pests we provide our clients with the relevant health and safety information. Arrowguard staff are fully trained, registered and licensed to use all chemicals and materials.
